Hey Guys,

I'm sure this has been covered many times, but wondered if someone could help.

I have a 2003 Euro R CL7, and I have the optional mini disk player installed already, but wanted to install a single din stereo in the lower compartment.

I've got the radio and ISO adapter already, but after reading I will lose some controls for aircon ect if I just run the blue plug in to the ISO adapter and to the radio.

What's my best option here? I notice you can get facia kits that include the plug & loom needed but I already have the ISO in this case.

Thanks in advance!

James

Sadly I can't help because I hardly understand the question  but there's quite a few others will know ;)

haha no worries buddy, I maybe put too much information in my post :) Basically just looking to install a single din head unit in my Euro R, but without causing any issues to the OEM headunit.

You mention controls for the aircon, I only know the aircon controls on the CL7/CL9 and the diesel. The aircon controls on the diesel cannot be modified but on the CL7/CL9 it's a conventional system so it should be same on the DC2.

On the CL7/CL9 most people pull out the OEM HU and fit in there, and find that the replacement unit does work the aircon.

I had a single din in my euro r.all you need is the harness to plug in to the blue oem connection and into yout aftermarket radio.the controls through the oem head unit will still work, but you will lose the back light.so you cant see anything on the screen at night.

You might be able to connect the illumination via a single wire from harness to oem head unit

Thanks for the replies guys :)

Awesome mate, thank you! I ended up ordering the following so I can splice it in to the loom and keep the lights and OEM stereo working correctly:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Metra-70-1721T-Accord-Bypass-Harness/dp/B000LU8NZI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1495705669&sr=8-1&keywords=Metra+70-1721T

Thanks in advance,

James
