17" inch wheel question !

Hi guys, quick question hope you can help me.

I have a 05 Accord with 15" wheels on it (just bought the car 2m ago) and i've already bought 17" Dotz shift (17x7J offset 48) for it with new tyres 225/45/17.

I did read some forum threads before buying them but now they just arrive and they look so big and im thinking they wont fit. Anyway, will the tyres rub the wheel arches or the suspension after installing them?

Car is on stock suspension but i might lower it in the future. Thanks in advance lads
 
They'll go in with loads of room to spare.
 
Thank you mate. Just had them delivered yesterday and i can obly fit them tomorrow because im working today so thats why i was asking you guys. Just coudnt take my mind off it.
 
They're almost the same fitment at the OE 17" wheels. My front wheels have an extra inch of poke over your new ones and I haven't had to roll the arches, you'll be fine.

- And unlike my car, it won't spray all the road filth up the sides in the wet, as the guard will still catch it all. :D
 
They'll stick out by 7mm further than a stock rim, no issue at all

Yep, i got them fitted 5 days ago, no problem at all. As goodluckmonkey said: there's alot of spare room there also.. :D thank you all for your help.

next: full re-spray because the car is red (and its faded really bad) mugen bodykit and i'll lower it a little.
 
The forum demands pictures. ;)
 
You may find a really good machine polish / mop will bring the red back (unless it's already pink) cheaper than a respray.
 
@andy, yes its already pink :( @goodluckmonkey: i will make a topic here with pics i promise. But it will take a while :p when i'll come back from holiday i'll continue the project :p
