rattle

I have 2005 2.0 petrol it as a rattle from somewhere when I go over a bump but not over speed ramps its doing my head in thanks

What have you tried so far ?

Does it come from the front or the back of the car ?

Is the noise from both inside and out ?

Is there any sliding noise when you brake ?

Things to look at, jack / spare tyre in boot. Spanners or spare wheel nut under spare wheel.

Try emptying all compartments, parcel shelf, ash tray, coin holder, check battery restraint, seat catches, boot lock, wing mirror glass.

it sounds like it comes for under side its just had new exhaust and heat shields are ok its worse over broken road surfaces checked jack/ spare springs look ok

Drop links maybe I've them have play in before and its that kind of road that's made them rattle..

thanks I will check them

after much checking pulling pushing banging I found the problem the spring on front o/s brake caliper had come off grrrr 2 min fix
