That will be the N22B or i-DTEC engine, which comes with DPF. As with all DPF engines, the DPF is a "consumable" item, and costs over £1k from a dealer, although someone recently posted a link to somewhere that sells DPFs for i-DTEC for about £400. You can also have the "DPF delete" done instead, recent one here --> http://typeaccord.co.uk/forum/topic/23644-premier-tuning-8th-gen-idtec-type-s-stage-2-remap/

Recently there was someone who had a fault with the ISV , see this thread --> http://typeaccord.co.uk/forum/topic/23580-2011-accord-22-diesel-este-intake-shutter-valve/

Then there's the DMF which will also need very expensive replacement at some point in the car's life.

Other than those issues, by all accounts it's a very good car.

Ok but does the autobox have DMF?

I'm sure all 8th Gen Accords have DPF's, another thing to check is the rear break callipers can seize particularly the near side!!

Had mine (tourer) since mid 70k miles and now on mid 90k and only fault was a seized rear calliper as above. Replaced both front fog lights as the glass cracked I think in happens in the winter cold glass (it is glass) hot bulbs equals cracked glass.

Oil change every 6K miles (Optima LSH 0w30), and drinks Shell, BP etc. DPF's can be obtained from http://www.cats2u.co.uk/35248/Diesel-Particulate-Filter/HONDA/ACCORD/2.2

Have you stopped dithering yet? as above re mine no problems at all (mechanical) but those front fogs do crack, mended with plastic and double sided clear tape. PS even when new they were not that good. If you can find one get an Auto. they are a little heavier on fuel but a superb drive, if you want to play at cops and robbers the paddle shift will surprise you, it did me.
