Installing oil and water temp gauges.

Hey all,

Just a general wondering really, has anyone fitted aftermarket oil and water temp gauges?

I ask as I like to know what's going on with the temps...especially when I'm sat in stop start traffic in 26+ degrees and am 4-6 hours from home after a day on the mtb.

Got stuck by Birmingham today for an hour so as a precaution I had the heater on to draw heat off the engine as I know from experience in my track car, doing that reduces the engine temp (oil especially) by up to 10 degrees C.

Got Defi gauges in mine, monitors oil temp, oil pressure and water temp, I agree its important to monitor these.

Depo sell a 4 in 1 gauge on ebay.about 105 ppounds.i plan on getting one.

Yes 3 defi or mugen gauges would be nice but the prices are crazy high

On other Honda vehicles I've owned, the essential piece of kit is a manual overide switch for the radiator fan(s).

CL9, would I be able to wire in any gauges? I've got some spares from my track car, so as long as I can mount them somewhere I like, will they be alright to use?

Hopper that's a great idea!!! I didn't think about that. I'll call my mechanic on my lunch break and see if he can get that sorted for me.

You can daisy chain the normal depo gauges.might be worth sending a message to the ebay seller
