7th Gen- Sport
Hi everybody,

When my 2005 CL7 sport was purchased the dealership would have offered a number of personalized optional extras which would just require a certain configuration from the ecu or a sequence of key turns etc. To give you an idea as specifically what options i'm talking about these will be listed below:

1) Beep when locking/ unlocking vehicle
2) Auto windows up when locking car
3) Auto windows down using sequence on key fob when unlocking
4) Unlock only driver's door - press unlock button twice to unlock every door
etc etc

(I'm sure there are other options which i have not thought of yet)

After searching the tinterweb for a while i can't seem to find anything which suggests these are even available for my model.

Can anyone shine a little light on the matter, whether some options can be activated via a sequence of key turns etc
or if this is done via the ECU. If so what would be needed for these to be activated like software OBDll connection.

I'm sure this post will help others on the forum so thanks in advanced for the help.

:) :) :)

might be true for the 8th gen, not sure about the facelift 7th gen, but never heard of it on the pre-facelift 7th gen.

7th gen runs from 2003 to 2008 (diesel 2004 to 2008) , facelift starts in 2006

Very useful things, I would say should be standard not extras...and option to be disabled if somebody doesn't like them.
Unfortunately I don't think they exist in 7 gen. (I've got executive facelift). Even didn't see options in HDS software.

Thanks for the prompt response peeps. at least i know now.

If i do come across anything remotely similar i will pop a comment up

cheers

Having the radio on without the key in the lock ?
Not so much this as i would be worried about draining the battery.
More-so regarding the fancy auto windows and such.

Understood, but if the 'latch' is coded in for the doors/windows, then the radio could be turned off at the time you exit the vehicle.

I've noticed the dashboard lights are illuminated at the point the key is inserted -just- into the ignition, the key does not actually have to be fully in.
