Need some advice , I'm so stressed and upset . I have 2005 Honda Accord 2.2 tdi , I have only ever had one problem with car bought from new by my father . My VSA light has been for about 4 weeks. Driving around the last few days felt the power "sticking" a bit on the revs but yesterday completely lost power on motorway . RAC came out put in 2 l of water and then said diagnostics said throttle issue. I managed to drive home no problems and to the mechanics today. Diagnostics put on again nothing in the engine but something to do with brake pressure sensor or unit? It is going in Tuesday , but I just can't see any link between this I've looked all day I just love my car and need it fixed asap. I just have no idea what this is or what needed
Any advice would be great

What code did you get 66-1 could be vsa module no link between that losing power and water seems like two separate issues

See if you can replacement vsa module and throttle position sensors

The loss of water would worry me the most, so have a good look for where that's coming out.

Use this link given to diagnose why the VSA/ABS light is on... http://typeaccord.co.uk/forum/topic/23543-obd2-scs-absvsa/ (best to clear all stored codes and then see which one is persistent). Please do let us know what the resulting persistent code number is, so we can give further advice.

The power loss sounds like yet another Accelerator Pedal Position sensor failure (quite a few have been reported recently). A quick test to prove this is to use the cruise control when the car is playing up... If it works ok on cruise control then the APP sensor needs replacing.

I cannot see a link between these three apparently unrelated faults! Has the car recently undergone major work?

Great idea, although I'd want confirmation of a 66-1 code before jumping in and buying an ABS/VSA controller!

My crazy had cut out 3 times recently and I get the throttle position sensor code coming up on diagnostic. I've yet to locate it and try and clean it like someone has suggested. Yesterday I drove in cruise control and it was fine, I just fear though when u have to break and the cruise control shuts off, or when on local roads, that it might lose power again.
