diesel '04 estate
Hi all., I have been a visitor here for ages but only just joined up. sorry its because I need help.

Had my blue 2004 diesel estate for nearly 2 years and its been greart but has a regular starting problem and also cuts out sometimes as well. Garage has looked at the engine failt codes and there were lots but the mechanic said that only one is serious and cames back, its code 1059 and he doesn't understand what it means as he isn't a Honda mechanic. Done 165 thousand miles but not much old service history. Got it serviced at the start of this year and its been running well until a month ago or so. New brakes fitted and One leaky injector fixed and all filters replaced with Honda ones at the service and always does good MPG.

I know there are really good Honda guys here so any help please?

Cheers, Al

Thank you very much Channel Hopper, people there saying Fuel Rail Pressure Control Valve Circuit Shorted to Power. I will tell him tomorrow.

Show your mechanic the whole thread since it is relevant to a Civic, albeit a cdti. Plus the last couple of posts infer that part is not actually fitted under the Accord bonnet. I've read it a couple of times and it still doesn't make absolute sense.

We looked at your link together, its is a bit confusing as the Civicinfo guy does have an Accord and it then links back to this forum anyway.

The Bosh guy knows exactl;y what the fault code means and says it is definitelythat control valve mentioned earlier, its around £95 delivered and goes onto the fuel pump, easy job. Garage fitting it tomorrow. part number 0928400687

Thanks again will let you know
