Anyone come across this problem please? It started a few months ago, got worse and i presumed it would be a bush and it would get picked up on the MOT. It didn't. I wonder if it may be the actual damper.

Input welcome.

Thanks all.

Long handle screwdriver or stethoscope and put the rear of car on ramps, assistant to bounce it and you listen to various points on the suspension.

Thats what I would suggest.

Did you manage to find out the cause of the noise? I have same problem and need to know if it’s actual damper or something else. It gets worse when cold.

Stab bar rubbers, or drop links. Common fault and an easy/cheapish fix. Have you been under to have a look?
