Hi, I've been putting my 2.2icdti back on the road after buying it for a bargain price. I have the dreaded drive shaft vibration when accelerating. It's a uk 5 speed manual. I've read it's most commanly passenger side. I get the vibration at low speed when cornering left but not right does that narrow which side it is?
Also are the 5 speed shafts different to 6 speed? Are there any petrol engine driveshaftsn that also fit the 5 speed diesel?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Shaftec seem to be the best bang for buck if you don't buy OEM.
Blueprint seem to be hit and miss.
Diesel shafts are unique to the diesel afaik.
One thing, I replaced my front LCA bushes and the driveshaft wobble I had from 60+mph has gone, worth checking that this isn't making the prolem worse.
Mine were 30 for the pair and I used problem solving bushings which are much better than the stock ones to my eye.

Thanks blunder, the bushings are all new and tight, looks like the previous owner tried that. The vibration is spot on for drive shafts. Only on acceleration and 50 60 mph it's the vibration accelerating whilst turning left that made me wonder if that would pinpoint which one to save time.
