Bluetooth on Satnav/stereo

Sorry if this has been asked before but I know the system has phone connectivity but can I play music, from say spotify, through the system?

The cd/aux button only gives me the CD option, no aux. I've no idea how else to do it other than buying an external source such as the Pure Highway kit or similar.

The car is a 2007 cdti ex.

The telephone system is an old design and you cannot stream through it.
In addition the HFT module will likely go faulty at some point and start draining the battery.
The solution I used was to fit a GROM kit, this works perfectly for phone and streaming the input appears as CDC on the display.
Mine is a 2008 2.2 CTDI EX tourer.
