Hi guys I'm selling my car tomorrow but the guy wants to make sure it has the original cat as he is going to race the car so so that he doesn't try it on and tell me it's not original to get it cheaper how can I identify myself that it has the original as I'm sure he will think he has me by the balls as my plan is to drive to him and meet him at the train station then sell him the car and get the train to the new car.

Hi, if he is planning to race the car will he not de cat it anyway? If you are not asking top dollar and whatever cat you have fitted looks a bit rusty, chances are he will not know whether it's the original or not. If he tries to knock you down on price or take the **** just drive off and leave him

Hey, the car is gone and to be fair he was ace. Looked under the car and said yep original cat then told me his plan was to pull the cat off and weigh it in for £250 them strip the car out, banger race it then once it's dead he will scrap it to get his money back.
Just leaves me with a decat pipe to sell.

Glad it went well, curious to know what's in these old accord cats, regularly they pop up on eBay with 'cat been stolen hence price'- that guy must know something we don't!

My cat was stolen, so was my dads. They are full of expensive and rare metals and earth materials. Brand new the cat is over £1000.

Yes me too thank god couldn't be doing with the hassle. I had bought a decat pipe from Germany just to take away the risk but decided on getting rid of the car.
I have seen a few with cats nicked.

I know that there's a lot that goes into a cat, but why specifically 6th generation accords, they seem to be targeted

its easy to get to, its under the front seats, very easy access to quickly cut and nick.

My dad one got stolen in broad daylight in a busy road!
