Hi all.

For some reason my front interior light no longer works when I open the door. The switch is in the correct position for "door" and the light itself works when you push the lens but nothing happens anymore when you open the door.

The rear interior light comes on as expected when the door opens.

Any thoughts? I did search on here for previous similar issues but no joy.

It's a common promblem on the 7gen Accords. The switch in the light is defective. You need to replace the switch or the whole light unit.
Both solutions are not expencive

Don't mean to hijack, but I have a similar problem. Opening the door, the right front interior light comes on, but the left doesn't. Thought it was just a burnt out bulb, but it works properly when pushing the lens. Is this the same problem? Thanks

I had the same problem. After few forum readings where it said that the switches must be changed, I dismount the light housings and what do you know? The lights came on for few seconds.... so I took out from their trays the switches by sliding out and bend their three pins few degrees (2-3) down (direction from their mounting position). Carrefully put them back and everything works now since 1 year.

In many cases the problem is hidden in the switch but as you may noticed can't be opened. We tried the same thing on mine but it didn't work bit when we sprayed a bit of contact cleaner in the switch it started to work but lasted just few days.

I had the same problem on my 2004 2.4 but I just bought a whole replacement unit from a breaker for £15. Should have looked here first!
