2004 Tourer floof mat fitting

Hi, I just bought a set of these for our 2004 tourer...

They included a couple of round 'screw in' clips with the drivers side mat which look as if they would have to go into the actual floor, unlike the original clips that snap into square holes in a small bulkhead under the seat.

Can these screw in clips be used on the 2004 accord ?? without drilling a hole in the floor???

Those plastic screws usually screw into your original carpet, not the floor..!

Didn't know that but suspected that's how they work, without checking it out properly of course.
