So about three weeks ago I picked up a 7th gen Accord Tourer, a 2.4 exec to be precise.

I wanted a Type S but at the time I needed a significatnly larger car more than I could afford to wait for a Type S to come up fairly locally. I had a mini as my daily and our two recently adopted greyhounds simply didn't fit :)

I got the dealer down on price because the clutch was dodgy, turned out to be classic master cylinder which I did with the latest rev of the part from h-tune. They also got someone in to clean the navigation DVD so I've got that annual task to look forward to.

Honestly, I still want the looks of a type S but I really like the heated seats - even if the bloody things move forward half a centimeter when I brake.

Right now I'm deciding whether to start modifying my current one, and look out for type S bumpers/skirts on the bay, or hold out and buy a type S when one comes up. Thoughts welcome :)

Hi Dude, welcome! get some pictures up of your car! :) I think people tend to think the exec cars are better specced and Type S's look better... Easier to mod an exec to look like a type S than fit all the exec parts to a type S...

I have a Type S tourer and love it. I never really wanted any of the things on the exec but thats personal preference! :)

Cheers! I think the only thing I would want to keep are heated seats - quite a fan of those now I've got them :) Although I expect I wouldn't miss them, just drive my old mx5 for a few days and any accord seat would be awesome!

Regards to exec spec... Satnav is shocking, don't like having to use a screen to amend some of the controls either. Electric seats, useless to me because once in position they just stay there.

Photos or two will be soon :) Current line of thinking is only make changes I can transfer to a Type S is one pops up locally... for now...
