Nearly a full can of engine oil spilled onto the cover over spare tyre (boot/trunk liner).
I note that it is felt with a stiffer board within it between 2 felt layers.
I presume it is not wooden and more likely a plastic of some type as I would expect it could handle getting wet. If necessary I can open it discretely on reverse to find out I guess.
Does anyone know what the board is made from so I can determine if or how wet it can get if I attempt to clean it with detergent and hot water.
Any other ideas to clean appreciated.
Thanks in Advance
