Last week the engine light came on and I took it in to be diagnosed as a "faulty transmission Module"
light off no problem.
today did it again, into limp mode and light stayed on. same diagnostic. But it had stopped limping and even with light on went like normal.
Light off again and it behaves itself.
So I tried to find a transmission garage to get a quote. Nobody will touch it except Honda who want $65 just to have a look and tell me the fault.
I know the fault is a faulty transmission module but they want £65 to tell me that?
Only after that will they give me a price.
Any suggestions for a fix? I am in Lancashire.

Thanks for that Cliffordski. I will need to find it on the car. Any pointers?

Had a look into this and it seems likely that this is not a mechanical problem, but more likely a computer problem?
Replacing the module is easy enough BUT i believe that Din number will not match keys nor security settings and that unless these components are changed/reprogrammed the car will not run?
I wish i was wrong and would appreciate a qualified opinion on this.
Incidentally it has driven round as normal for 3 days without missing a beat?...
