Front seat belts

Hi all 8th gen. followers,

I wonder if anybody else has found it difficult connecting the front seat belt, particularly if wearing a jacket or a coat.

I have not encountered this on other cars I have owned and I would suggest that the part attached to the front seat should be a little longer.

Does anyone know of a part with a little more length that could be fitted.

thanks for the "heads up", I ***umed I would have to be looking at breakers yards but your reply seem a much easier solution.

have you tried moving the seat?
moving seat down and back will make the seat belt easier to fasten.
there is also an adjustment on the door pillar which won't affect fastening, but may help with comfort.

I ordered a seat belt extender, this one:-

When it arrived it looked perfect for the job, however when I tested it, it was dangerous. It clipped in ok, but a sharp tug on the belt and the belt buckle came away from the new extender!

No good if in an accident.

I report this as a warning to others who may be interested in a belt extender.
