Should the Reverse Camera Have Grid lines?

On my car I don't have them. I googled and I can find nothing. Should it have them?
 
Thanks Guys - I was hoping someone would tell that theres a secret button that would turn them on lol. Without the guide lines its pretty useless isn't it.
 
I find it really useful, especially when combined with the sensors.
 
Its useful for seeing how close you are to something, but have you ever used a reverse camera with dynamic, or even static, gridlines?
 
No lines on my mk8 2011 tourer, and useless for close quarter parking, may be helpful when connecting a trailer as for the rest just a gimmick, and those "beepers" turned them off straight away.
