Hi All,
What I gather from this forum on DMF and clutch issues in diesel ones so far is that there's:
1) slipping clutch issue because of the "weak springing on the LUK/Honda pressure plate", supposedly fixed by clutch revision 325 (a full part number would be great)
2) DMF issue resulting in judder and requiring DMF replacement, with the CGM SMF or 8-paddle clutch being a possible long term solution
Is (2) a result of continued driving with (1) though, resulting in clutch getting worn down to the rivets and so damaging the DMF? If not could anyone please explain the (2), i.e. what exactly is happening with the DMF and why and whether original DMF has ever been revised by Honda/LUK to address the issue?
Many thanks in anticipation!
