As the ***le says, is there anywhere doing a good deal or price on them?

Did you replace the dryer as well? Also do you need to flush out the coolant system or can this be avoided?

***uming you're replacing the condenser because it's leaking? Well legally you have to avoid releasing coolant into the atmosphere but who's gonna know and will there be that much in there anyway.

The link above is out of stock but there are some aftermarket suppliers on fleabay, cheapest I found was £75 although I cannot vouch for the quality. I would like to know about the dryer if anybody can shed any light, the above suppler shows it's a servicable item whereas I've also seen sealed units for my vehicle.

I've bought one through eBay for about £95 delivered(nissens). Same part in my local parts shop was around £130.

I'm a bit confused as to whether the narrow cylinder on the side of it is the receiver dryer or what it actually is? I've read that the dryer should be replaced at the same time.

Can anyone answer this question??

Yes, the narrow cylinder on the side is the receiver drier and should be replaced together with the condenser. But usually they come built together.
I let a professional replacing it, due to the possibility of frostbite and blinding.
The old unit needs to be depressurized and refrigerant needs to be evacuated prior removal. The new unit has to be leak/pressure tested and recharged.
