Hi. I’m new here and not very technical but here’s what happened. The aircon stopped working. The fault was traced to a switch connector that sits in front of the radiator. It was very corroded and was disconnected. The glow plug light started flashing. In reconnecting the switch the climate control head unit was blown.

I have put in a replacement head unit. The part number that came out was 39050-SEF-630-M1, I have replaced it with -620-M1 this hasn’t solved the fault. I have taken it to my local Honda dealer who say they have checked it all and it needs exactly the same part to go back in. I am dubious because everything works fine (radio, heating control, etc) except for the aircon cooking coming on. The glow plug light is still on.

I’d appreciate any ideas on where to go next. I can scout eBay etc for an exact part match but surely it’s not that specific?
