Anyone have a price for changing the gearbox oil? on a 2.2 cdti 08 plate manual or where i could ge it done i know it is "sealed for life" but how long is life? mine has now done 170k so any recommendations would be appreciated (Peterborough area would be GOOD)

They're not sealed for life, service intervals is normally 75k miles, there's a drain plug near the bottom of the gearbox.
 
It’s actually very easy to do, even described
In the owners manual.
 
Thanks to everyone who has offered info....rolled my sleeves up got under car and done it as you said not to much in it....mind you the gearbox filler plug was a prize "B" to remove had to get the rattle gun on it :D
