Oil in intercooler

Greetings!
Decided to put a front mounted intercooler on my stage 2 2007 i-CTDi and found some oily residue in the pipes and some oil came out of the old intercooler after i removed it and turned it upside down. Is this critical or should i just ignore it?

I think its normal to find some oil residue in the IC, how much is normal I don't know.

Yes it’s normal. Does the car use much oil and are there any signs of turbo failing such as loss of power or whining sounds? If not then it’s probably within tolerance

Well that’s great to hear, it doesn’t use oil and there are no strange sounds or loss of power so i guess it’s fine then. Thanks for the help
