This is on the offside front mount, the one nearest the ABS/VSA unit.

There are two bolts, each 10cms long with a 17mm head, one of which is not bolted to anything and just pulls out of the circular mount, the other has sheared about halfway down the threaded section, leaving the remainder in the hole.

Has anyone had similar and if so, what is the part number of the bolt required ?

Thanks in advance

I was going to ask if anyone has suffered damage like this before now, I've had the Tourer for more than a couple of years and it has passed MOTs without any majors. I haven't hit a major pothole or drive like a loon so what would make bolts of this size strip and/or break ?

The engine did drop and shift forward by about an inch when I dismantled what was left just behind the camchain and belts over the weekend. It looks impossible to remove the existing bolt section that remains in one of the holes, and the second has no thread left at all, meaning I would need to use larger bolts after drilling/rethreading a blind hole.

I have found a complete engine mount ***embly for the saloon Mk7 online, and on the pictures it looks like it should fit (it also comes with the broken bolts, two dampers top and bottom, plus the electrical contact.)

Will be fitting it once it arrives, as long as it doesn't rain too much.

I wish I could post a picture, but no luck with the usual uploading sites, will try again after a bath.
