As many know, I have tried the strip LED's in the past and they simply didnt go well so I removed them... but now I thought about getting my fogs sorted as they were the last bulbs on the car which were stock... so it was either going to be H11 LED / HID...

I have seen many Accords with the H11 HID Kit but the light leaks out around the sides of the actual fog light trim and it looks really tacky and not factory fitted so that has to be a no no for me! so I ordered these H11 bulbs, from our good old friends in China!

After fitting them and removing the bumper etc... I serioulsy have this Range Rover DRL LED effect from a distance, no joke it looks just like that with the way the LED's and fog lights are designed on the Accord giving it that effect... as below: -

Pictures dont really do justice, but they are really good in flesh, and being only 5 watts compared to my 100W bulbs I did a side by side test and they are nearly as bright as the OEM ones! also in sunlight they can be seen clearly... what do you guys think? keep it or back to OEM?

also when I turn them on I dont get that power kick from the alternator with the OEM bulbs lol... so very energy efficient may save me a few pennies in fuel over the years & I may not have to get an iDTEC after all! ;) :p haha

tricky to tell on s phone screen but they look good to me bud!

Looking smart J4JAV - bet they'll look great at night. Any chance of a pic later? :D

I think I'll have to do a little light upgrade myself this Summer!

Thanks Kevin! :) yep il take a pic tonight :)

They look kinda cool actually B)

Nice work Jav as the guys said get some pics up in the dark and compare them with the headlights on as well.
I was thinking of doing this but wasn't sure of the light output but they look great.

I dont mind these at all in fact they look good, only prob is at night people might think your one of those muppets that drives with his fogs on.

Looks really smart mate. Could you post the link for the H11 LED bulbs? Guessing they are an eBay job. Got a bulb out on fogs any way at the mo so kills two birds with one stone.

Just loaded up the office PC - and they do look good bud - might have to do this myself!

Much better looking and oem too, you can switch them off at night.

Thanks bro :)

Cheers mate,

I have just come out of the dark now and picture wise it gets very blurry, they are bright trust me I would say they are equivalent to a 55w fog bulb :)

I will get the proper digital camera onto them in a few days mate...

Thanks mate ... Yeh they do look like fogs at night but will be using them as drls

Thanks mate :) and yes eBay it was, just type in H11 LED bulb and get one with the L shape connector (all the same) and make sure it has the rubber seal on them so you don't get water/condensation into the fog glass housing, most have anyway :) like a orangey rubber seal...

Get it done bud! Best few quid you will ever spend lol :)

Much better looking and oem too, you can switch them off at night.

Thanks mate :) and yep rightly said you can turn them off at night ;) wiring is the same as fogs :) just bulb change!

Would be nice to come up with a DRL type wiring scheme though. Side lights don't affect the cluster/sat nav light settings do they? can't remember...

look very nice indeed Jav, i like them. Love the way your car sits mate

Yeh with sidelights the dash lights come on too :( as for the wiring I think it's possible to feed another set of wires on the existing fog looms and have a seperate switch for them or if you want them on all the time when car is started then just feed that input into the positive input for the headlight alignment motors :) they are only live when car is started...

Thanks Shabz :) I have finally got my suspension height right bang on the nail after 2 months of re adjusting lol

Hadn't even see the suspension - looks sweet dude.

Measured my A-Spec and there is a definite 15mm difference between front and rear. :(.

Ya the car sits just right - very nice!

What coilovers have you got? Going to invest soon myself.

Dan I'm sure on the A Spec it sits lower on the front end? Also yours is diesel so you have a bit of weight onnthe front end too... I also wanted it like the A spec set up with a lower front end and finally got that but just a touch lower over all

Tein Basic Coilovers mate, I got them from Anojan on here a few months ago :) he had them on his car before and they have been fine since... Well anything Made in Japan has been 100% for me :)

I wish it did mate... I'm not the only one to have noticed it on theirs either.

For someone like me, who's professional pride often rests in getting things like radiators, pipes, boiler and cables level or plumb just by eye, that 10/15mm gap is a little grating.

I am wondering if it is to allow for movement under heavy breaking?

Remember though, our diesel is only 70kG more than the 2.4...

Dan which side is sitting lower?

Both fronts are higher than their rear partners - only measured the offside though...

I don't want to hijack your thread though bud, so I'll start a separate one :).

Probabely looking at the BC Racing ones myself, just to save a few euros. Really need to get my lowering springs out ASAP! :)

lol pretty noticeable even in your picture :/ don't worry about the thread mate it's all good :)

Yeh they seem to have really good reviews too :) Tein UK customer service is brilliant too :) I love my car lowered handles like it's on rails but you have to be very careful with speed bumps I have done a few scrapes already :(

I agree with Dan the aspec on the tourer defo sits higher at the front and it sucks big style :( I can only ***ume its for better weight transfer as a few manufacturers adopt this.

If I get time I will have a play around with it at some point just getting time is the issue.

Jav mate its looking super cool bro, I'm prob going to do the same but with yellow fog tint on top to keep it looking jdm,but car looking wow.

hey,

they look great, but how functional are they? just from what i know LED's don't actually have great output onto the road and that kind of defeats the purpose of fog lights, no?
i would be interested in finding out how much light output onto the road you actually get... just for the info, i have actually done an HID conversion on my fogs.

Also, i have a schematic if you want to turn your fog lights on with just your side marker lights/parking lights on.

I doubt they would work well as fogs, but then fog lights (in my experience) are pretty pointless anyway. Jav's motive was for the DLR look rather than fog functionality - here is the UK all new cars have to have DLR's by law - Merc have done rather poor efforts around same spot that the Accord has its fogs, Citroens look like, well, interesting.... but then they'll only break in 6 months so who cares ;).

The only company to have pulled a decent OEM look out of the bag is Audi, but over here there are so many of them that it is just boring now.

Still it is good to see it modded on other cars well - Mutsaip has done a good job too.

Hey,

I installed 102 LED H1's in my dad's honda last month they look really nice, but need to know how you made them DRL only.

If you could let me know it would be appreciated as this is what I would like to do.
