i think this will be great,as some always some how forgets to close the window(after iv already locked up)... i think they have a auto window module like this one:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/4-WINDOW-AUTOMATIC-CLOSURE-MODULE-2010-SAFETY-CHEC-/360274494811?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item53e208855b

what you guy take on it??

Its really good sufian i have it on the 8th gen B)

I find find it really annoying that the 7th gen don't have this. My old 1994 cavalier had it.

My last two Audis and last two BMs had full closure ! still got BM and I have used the full closure three times this year, it's handy but certainly not top of must have list.

Standard on TSX's for some reason.

That would be a cracking mod that as long as it doesnt envolve splicing harnesses ect... IME that can be like opening pandoras box

Monks I think the best point would be when you deadlock the car. The second signal would be the trigger. In terms of getting a signal it can be done as Oz got a signal for his mirrors

Suffian i'm liking this mod for sure, might invest into it. Going to have to check with Oz if its a Positive or negative signal you get when you lock the car and whether the deadlock system is a separate feed?

I knew you guys would like it lol :D ,brett so not fair, your new car has all the toys...but this mod is something im defo investing in.. :) you can get the kit of ebay for 17quid,which is a bargin for this mod.

Now wouldnt it be nice if you could just get the TSX module and plug it in.... one can only dream I suppose.

I miss total closure used to have it on a Clifford Alarm with Intelistart and Turbo timer.

Nothings impossiable buddy,im on the case ;) , if i can get one from a tsx it should be plug in and play,if not ebay here i come..lol

This makes some interesting reading....

http://www.acura-tsx.com/forums/showthread.php?t=596643

especially the post on the 1st page that reads The instructions that came with the module is for the 7th Gen Honda Accord

http://www.kptechnologies.com/products.php#/17

What we need to find out is what the KP Tech module does is it just mimicking the holding the key in a certain position for a set time which activates the window closure on the tsx or is it actually closing the windows itself, maybe an email to KP Tech is needed?

i did this mod to my mk4 golf and all it involved was plugging a module into the OBD port for 30 seconds or so.. i wonder if there is something similar for the accord?

Here's the link to what i used.. Clicky

You did on the Golf because it's already programmed into the ECU and wiring system - all you did was use VAG.com or VAG Tacho to enable it. I've done this mod on the wife's Polo - just needed a relay from Maplins and it shuts the sunroof too!

Hmm it might not be,somehow the module will have to send a signal to close all the windows when we dead lock the car,it will have ti operate all 4windows,so judging by the acura forum, and what shabs said we need to find out what polarity and which wire acts a positive when locking the car,its going to be very similar to when blue(oz)added the folding wingmirrors...im suprised that the tsx has this feature..or can be adapted to the tsx and not the accord, may be cj can shed some of his knowledge on the matter.. :)

after reading further and sending some emails,it looks as though you will have to have the roll up feature in the door lock(oem tsxs haver this feature) before you can attach the module, which fools the car into thinking that there is key in the door lock, so far it does seem doubt full it can be achieved on the accord(but were there a will, there's a way ;) )watch out for this space.....

right some info on the tsx power window control unit...

http://www.tsxclub.com/forums/content/manual_gen1/Accessories%20and%20Equipment/Power%20Windows.pdf

this is the power window module/unit which i think i will need to this mod..

right guys update:

after speaking to the techs in blackpool, iv been told that this kit:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360274494811&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

is the actual module which in turns does what the tsx module does...i purchased one from ebay so will see how it goes....

Good luck,

Will be interesting to see how you get on.

I wonder if this work on windows with out "auto close/open", since in my 6th gen, only the drivers door has "auto close/open"

Thanks buddy ;) as always ill post my finding on here asap(will have to be next week as will be in birmingham over weekend)but i feel like a T.A detective lol :D,already got ***le of trim removeal sempai from dan lol :D

sounds good!

hopefully it should all work when wired up bud, cant wait for it to arrive now  , but going to have to wait till next week :( hopefully if it is all good, then if members are interested im sure we can approach the seller with a group buy, but fingers crossed it works, will save me alot of trouble as some one is always leaving the window open

Sounds good I emailed the people in the states and all that box of theirs does is simulate the key being held in the correct position to activate the total closure.

Thats it dave, with us we didnt unfortunetly have this function on the accord(i dont know why)with theirs the kp tech module just fools the car into thinking theres a key in the door cylinder being turned.well done with the emails bud.

well guys, today the auto window closure module arrived:

the module itself:

the wires:(so many of them..lol)

and the very basic instructions:  :

IMAG0522.jpg

now begins the task of getting this hooked up and working, i have no idea were im going to start, i presuming the drivers side door will be ideal, as this has all the controls for the other windows, now to get on removing the drivers door card and control panel... lol, as you can tell by the instructions with this module you can turn off the safety function(if an obstruction is in the way it wont stop and continue closing)but this fuction will be defo left ON, it also has a switch which can change the polarity of the jp from - to + but as default its set to - ,will have to find out what our accords are. I DONT THINK THIS WILL BE EASY IN ANY SENSE,as the instructions are very basic and my knowledge of the wiring regarding the windows is very basic too,but fingers crossed....... the diagram shows solid brown+white to be wired up to the car ACC(which i presuming means accessories) The acc wire on the module is for your switched power which means i need to find the wire that has 12volts when the car key is turned to acc and no power when off(like cig lighter). This should send a signal to the module to let it know when my car is on so it wont be active while driving, or when the car is stationary or the ignition turned from the ACC position(4 positions OFF/ACCESSORIES/IGNITION OR ON/START.

this is the wires inside the driver door control:

Good luck Mo..

lol  thanks buddy im defo going to need it, looking at all these wires looks like Spaghetti to me, this is going to be more tough of an install than the double din...
