right chaps been making these off and on, for atr's for the last 12 months and just wondering if anyone would be interested in wanting one.

how it works is i send you a gauge pod that is already made and of complete oem fitment then you send your clock and cuppy hole back to me in return so i can make another one.

i charge a small price of £30 delivered and if your not wanting it in carbon i can do other colours.

if there is enough interest i will also make a donation to the forum as it will benefit everyone cheers carl

as i'm sure you can gather gauges not included. these pods will take any satandard size 52mm gauge

I saw these on the ATR forum last week and think they look sooooo good. What are the gauges for that are fitted? Alternator output? Oil pressure and oil temp?

Also, have you any idea how hard is it to wire these up, or how they are attached to anything that they are reading off?

Si, looks like Oil Temp,Battery/Alternator voltage and oil pressure in that order.

Cheers Gav.

How would you go about wiring these gagues in so they work?

The Battery voltage one would be easy, just in parallell with the cigarette lighter or any other switched 12V
The others not sure. I guess take a feed of the oil pressue switch or actually where it comes into the cabin as opposed the actual swtich.
The oil temp again not sure but the same principal applies.
This is ***uming they've been calibrated for our cars...
Maybe Carl can expand?

Shouldn't they hook up to the obd?

to get the gauges to work if you had volt meter that just connects up to the battery oil temp is best getting a sump plug adapter as thats the most accurate temp. for oil pressure you get an adapter to go off the oil presure sensor. i wouldn't recommend sandwich plates as there prone to leaking imo

I'll keep quiet then

yeah, in theory you could get this data via OBD, but it would be digital data, so you'd need an electronics interface in between to then convert into a ****ogue signal for the dials.

Sounds too complicated for me

Yeah, Andy is the only one who has ever done any work on my car, and that's where i get all my bits from too. I don't go very often though as it's exactly a 400 miles round trip from where i am

I'm gonna have a word with my local trusted mechanic and see what he says about fitting them and how hard/how expensive it'll be to get them all wired in.

Apologies about bringing back an old thread but does anyone know where I can one of these gauge pods?
