Hi Dave
Everyone has a warn status. It is incremented when Admin feel you have breached the rules hence why you have a warn status. Its a way for us to control and maintain the peace and harmony on the site.
David don't worry too much about it. Providing you are pleasant all fine :)

We all have it. If it fills a bit with black you have been naughty. I can testify to this as i have had it twice. But to be fair to the mods i did deserve it and they explained why i had been put on probation. But i am a changed man now and have been on the straight and narrow for a good 6 months.

David, you're misunderstanding - you have a warn status, and so does everyone else but its set at zero (default). You can only see your own which is why you think you've been warned.

I did exactly the same thing when I signed up. Thought I've overstepped the mark with my introductory post or something. Thought to myself "blimey, they're a bit strict over here on TA" . Like Fahad says, you only see your own warn status meter and it always at zero, unless you're a naughty boy. But don't worry man. You're not the first to think you've done something wrong and not know what it was you did and I'm sure you won't be the last either. A lot of people who are new to the forum seem to ask about it and not understand it at first.

:)

One was for swearing. and the other was for posting an animated gif of a dude having a hand shandy on CJ's retro accord thread.

Both incidents were worthy of a suspended sentence and I took them like a man.

If I ever make it to godly mod status I will make it my mission to add every known filthy word to the swear filter because my potty mouth seems to find every one that is not censored.
And the mods are so ******* good on here you never get away with it.
I was busted both times within 10 minutes. lol

I got a rollocking on the old THAOC for language.

I blame Si

Still have try hard. Not easy when you work in the building trade and every other fricking word would have a nun running for cover.
