right guys firstly im always cleaning my alloys and keep them looking tiptop,as i was cleaning them today i noticed these marks on them to my horror :o what are these marks and how on earth do i remove them??? they seem to be well and truly stuck to the rim surface, some wheels not so bad but the rear nearside one is terrible, when i try to remove it(with my fingernails)it sort of comes off as like white dust :( seems like its damaged the surface underneath :(,some help please :(

i mean after i wash them, i normally apply about two coats of poorboys rim wax(the one that smells lovely)could this be the cause...

it looks like water ingression .

Its a very common thing with this type of mirror / diamond face cut finnishes.

Its the very same thing that happenes to Epsilon wheels.
Only way to remove it is to get your alloys stripped down and either painted or powder coated :(.

The paint is gone, it seems. :(
I have my rims painted and use only water to clean them. They've been fine for the last 2/3 years!
And painted them myself, at home.

ohh maaan, how does this occur,i mean i take good care of them,so it looks like full refurb then???so if i get them stripped and done or finished to exactly how they are now and then get them laqured, will the laqur prevent kit from occurring again?? the only bit painted on them bud is the sides of the spoke...

Dam sorry to hear that basically pitted is corrosion under the paint like rust spots.
This can be caused by a small scratch in the paint and water or salt getting under.

Yep, that's just like my epsilons mate. Only solution is a full refurbishment. Hold old are they? You might be within your rights to email some picture to the place you bought them from and make a fuss about it.

With any type of polished rim. Its a killer in the Uk because of road salt, certain contries dont have this problem cos they dont use salt on the raods. best way of keeping them in prime condition is to put wax on them. although vasaline works aswell.

Damn bro, it'll be due to running them in winter my guess is. No one up here would run polished lip wheels in winter as they load the roads with salt so they dont ice over. Didnt think it'd get cold enough for them to grit the roads in london. When i was down it never dropped below 7 degrees last month
fitty too see ell nine cord type ess - BAN-KAI!!!
