Is it possible to remove the alternator without removing the A/C pipes? As I am unable to get into the bolts on the bottom tensioner.

Any advice or response would be very helpful.

Cheers

Yes, it's possible, and yes, its quite hard to reach those bolts....

From the side of the pulley, use a combination wrench like this one, size 12, IIRC:

Then, in the front, use a 10mm socket, 1/4inch drive, with a small ratchet and a small extension. It will to the job ;)

I couldn't get mine out without removing the other ancillaries and pulling the AC pipes, I found it a bit of a nightmare to get off to be honest. However - I was stripping the engine anyway so didn't spend much time trying to figure out a way of doing it without removing everything else. Maybe one of those ratchet spanners with a flexible end, or a wobble end socket might do the trick? Have you got any of the bolts out the alternator yet?

Ahhh somebody beat me to it :p at any rate hope you get it sorted mate!
