HI guys.
My standard 16s look lame, the paint is coming off and the tyres are all going to be shagged in about 2-3000 miles.

This is the perfect excuse to get some new wheels. I have discussed this (safety upgrade) with the mrs, and she is happy.
The (very nice) chap who does my insurance, says they must be Honda wheels, but that is the only stipulation. I also don't really want to rudeboy up the car too much, as I am too old for chrome 22's with spinners!!

I have questions for y'all

1) Will Civic rims fit on, without ******ing about with spacers and suchlike?
2)Did Honda make many nice ones for the Accord?
3) Does anyone know a good place to get em, that is cheaper than Honda? I am already on eBay, luking and observing.
4) What ones do you reckon look nice?

Your 2-pence worth is appreciated.

Kindest regards, David

Depending on which wheel you prefer really, Honda did make some very nice 17's and some nicer 18's. http://www.honda-access.com Hope this helps
2011 Civic wheels will fit without messing around with spacers and whatnot too, not too sure about the New 2012 Civic rims :)

there is many OEM wheels to choose it all depends what's your budget and what size you want 17 or 18? if you want I'm selling my set of 17's OEM honda alloys ;)

I've got Civic wheels on my 7th gen and they fit no problem. I got lucky on ebay after a couple of weeks of searching.

Hi mate.
Thanks for the info. I am just not that taken with accord wheels; the only ones they made that I like are Pentas, and I have been told that they are very prone to the elements, by a number of sources now. Shame really, as 5-spokes are my first and true love.
I really like these, although the tyres are the wrong ratio for my car

I also like these

Good to know they will fit ok.
once again, thanks very much for the quick reply.

FN2 rims would be nice to see on a lowerd Accord, and if you can talk herself into that much needed feature too you'll be happy out B)
Penta's are tried and trusted but yeah, reading the paint flake issues it wouldn't be ideal, and you're right, you can't go wrong with a good 5 spoke wheel :D

Thankyou very much to everyone who took the time to read and/or reply to this post.
I have decided on a set of 'Quartz' wheels from the 8th generation range, supplied and fitted from our friend at HH.
Hopefully they will look as good as they do in my head!!!
Kindest regards, David

We shall, of course, be expecting pictures when they're on :)

Looks very nice.

Yes the Quartz are a nice choice, I'm look forward to seeing them fitted on a 7th Gen.

I like the way they look like classic five spoke's but updated.

I think you will be happy with the way these look.

Just a quick question now that I see a thread on alloys. I've had 19's on my car for a while now but noticed a wobble in the steering between 55 and 70mph and the car tends to steer with the road, I changed over to the original 16's and it has completely gone. Because I'm now going to sell the 19's I'm wondering will 18's cause the same issue or should I drop to 17's? The 19's have been balanced and the tires are in good shape so that rules out a balancing issue, has anyone else found this? If so what cured the issue?
