Well guys not sure if anyone else is having this issue but come this Monday i will be on my forth set of alloy wheels. The problem startss around the centre cups then spreads on to the wheels.

As i only ever wash the wheels with hot soapy water I am unsure why this keeps happening. I find it a bit strange that in the space of 2.5 years Honda have replaced the wheels 3 times.
If anyone has any thoughts on how or why this keeps happening. your comments would be helpful.

also forgot about the rust spots under the bonnet Honda have taking pics of the problems and still waiting on them to advise on what they are planning on doing about it, so will update when I here word.

could be the weather around where you live mate?

yeh I am ***uming that it could be that mate, but it is pretty bad for a 2009 car, mine is a 2007 and not a single bit of rust on it... I bought it from Stirling when it was just over 2 years old

Tony there is salt on every road in the UK in winter so I don't think this is the issue.
When you clean your wheels do you apply a good wheel sealant after ?

and mine is a 2004 and I'm yet to see a spot of rust.

I hope Honda sort it. Planning on keeping the car for a long time not wanting to have rust problems already.
The set of wheels I. It now I used poor boy I think it's called. After every second wash. But even at that my ond BMW had from new for 3 years never put anything on the wheels and never had any issues.

The wheels are a strange one. Honda have never had a issue changing the wheels ever time this happens which make me think I'm not the only one. I did here there was a Bad batch of wheels from the suppier in Poland but I must have bad luck if all 3 sets are from the same batch lol.
When I get the new ones on Monday I will be taking them off and coating the with sealent straight away see if that helps

I remember seeing that rust damage when we tuned it, it's really bad for a 2009 car to be honest.. Honda's have poor quality paint and rust protection in my opinion. My brother's 9 year old 7th gen has quite a lot of surface rust in the bonnet area and even my 2004 car had signs of surface rust in the engine bay area.

Just a thought after reading your post regarding using hot soapy water to wash your car wheels you are not by any chance using something like fairy liquid as I believe this contains salt.

Well car came back from Honda today after being at the body shop to get the rust under bonnet and boot lid painted. And now it is booked I next week to the body shop again as I am not happy with the job they have done. The job on the boot lip is great no issues but under the bonnet where the hinge is it looks like they have just sprayed over it.
I did feel back complaining to start with then I thought about to reason why I bought the car from new. I wanted the best service I can get if things go wrong. So fingers crossed they will do the job right second time around.

I found the centre caps to be a sloppy fit, could it be road film working out from within?? That under bonnet rust is not acceptable push for a new one.
