My Accord (i-dtec) is just about 40 months old and has done 38,000 miles. I was surprised to note that the clutch seemed to be slipping last week Have booked the car in at the dealers and they have indicated that if it is 'just worn' (as they seem to think having taken it for a test drive) then it is one of those things. I have never had a clutch wear out in over 40 years of driving. Are 8th gen Accords prone to this? My previous 7th gen did 45,000 + with no such issues. The car has been dealer-serviced since new.

The 7 gen is known for a weak pressure plate causing slip.
But I have only heard of 1 other case in the 8th gen.
Keep us updated as this is a rare thing IMO

my car is now on 55k and I dont take it easy on the clutch all the time. i fact i drive the car hard over 50% of the time and so far no issues with the clutch.

Hondas are notorious for bad clutches. Civic is especially affected. It may be worthy to setup a poll to see how common is this issue for 8th gen.

I didn't think the 8th gen had a clutch issue. I thought it was resolved.
Do you know what life your car has had?
