Good plan! Yep can ask a friend to try their car seat and pram
Still can't get my head around a £20k+ CRV being slower and thirstier than my leggy 17 year old Accord
Looking for anyone who used one as a family car. We are expecting a first child and I'm worried that the car won't be big enough. I'm tall and the back doors are quite narrow so tricky to squeeze car seats in and out? The boot opening is quite narrow so will also be tricky to get a pram in and...
New personal record for me. 840 miles on 54.74 litres of supermarket diesel. 69.7 MPG. Warning light came on at 821 miles
This was a combo of 55 mph motorway driving :D , very careful driving on A roads and a smattering of traffic. Even took the spare wheel out to save weight lol.
900 miles!! it's a wonder you didn't clog the fuel filter bringing up all the crud at the bottom of the fuel tank
I came on here wondering if anyone could beat the personal record I set tonight in my pre facelift 2.2 saloon
773.1 miles (only drove 22 miles on the warning light). Calculated...
Cheers Fahad, it was just a one off. Pleased to say the Accord passed the MOT test today :)
Albeit with a :
Front Steering rack gaiter damaged or deteriorated, but preventing the ingress of dirt both gaiters twisted not split at time of test (2.1.3 (g) (i))
Update:
30 mins after the scheduled MOT appointment and there is no warning light  typical
will see if the issue manifests itself again over the next few days and then rebook
Major FML today
MOT expires on 24th Feb
MOT booked today 25th Jan, on my way to the test center and the warning light comes back.
I got it fixed 10 days ago and used the car regularly since and the light hasn't come back
Possibilities from least likely to most likely IMO:
another wheel...
Got the job done for £50 and a few cups of tea by a pair of mobile mechanics :)
They came on Friday, adamant he didn't need a drill, 90 mins later "uh, I should have bought a drill, this is corroded"
Came Monday morning and did it in an hour
£15 ! Wow bargain.. ordered one thanks a bunch
Seems to be a 1 hour max job to fit it too. Might get the whole thing done for less than Honda charged for the diagnostics and a road test
I know :( first time in 5 years of Accord ownership at least
Too bad I couldn't do it myself with the OBD code reader I have.
Anyway good news is that it isn't the VSA module that I feared.
It is the left rear ABS sensor that needs changing (reading this thread it is always the left rear lol)...
Booked it in at local Honda for the £90 diagnostics check this Friday
I read online that they have diagnostics equipment that indys won't, so for the sake of a few more quid I will get them to diagnose
If it is the VSA modulator then I can expect them to quote ~£1800
In which case I'd buy the...
I wonder how much I'd have to pay to install it too (no chance me doing anything more complex than wiring a dashcam :D )
But I don't want to replace the VSA if the problem is something else of course
