2.2 Diesel Saloon - Brake pads

Ah good to know but I ended up with ebay jobs. I did end up replacing them but I couldn't figure out how to get the handbrake cable out of the calliper - so I took the old part off, and put it onto the new one (saved breaking anything!).

2.2 Diesel Saloon - Brake pads

Well I finally changed the pads, cheers for the confirmation of the part numbers BTW. The rear left caliper is done, not moving at all. So I'll replace it rather than fix. Just wondering if these are the corresponding part numbers for the rear calipers? OEM ref: 43018-S7S-000 (R)...

2.2 Diesel Saloon - Brake pads

Right, finally was able to take a couple of snaps, not sure if this really helps identify which version I have though: I'm guessing it's this version due to the 2 nipple bits in the middle: https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/brembo-brake-pad-10160016A Ah crap, forgot to look at the rear

2.2 Diesel Saloon - Brake pads

Cheers, I think I'll have to take a couple of photo's to see if anyone can ID which variant I have, and I'll double check the documents too. Last thing regarding brakes. Fluid -I usually use TYP 200 (DOT 4) on my track 350z, that should be fine right?

2.2 Diesel Saloon - Brake pads

Anyone? Also looked like there were 2 different types of callipers, is there an easy way to tell which is what ?

2.2 Diesel Saloon - Brake pads

I just wondered if anyone had any recommendations on brake pads (ideally with a link!), just looking on the typical sites and also wondered if there's a difference between the Saloon & Estate/Tourer ? Just looking for decent stopping power, no noise :) Cheers for any help !

How to diagnose and replace a faulty over pressure relief valve on a 2006 2.2 i-CTDi

So had another go today. I did what Channel Hopper suggested (cheers). I took the power steering pump off, nice and easy. To get the belt off first.. I used a 14mm flexi ratchet head spanner on the pulley, with a standard 1/2 ratchet on that.. Then a handle from a trolley jack as an extension...

How to diagnose and replace a faulty over pressure relief valve on a 2006 2.2 i-CTDi

I'll have to have a go next week ! Took a wee while to do the alternator, and will have to replace the HP power steering line again, this one has a poor connection to the steering rack, peeing everywhere ! TBC heh

How to diagnose and replace a faulty over pressure relief valve on a 2006 2.2 i-CTDi

Yep, I saw a chap on youtube do that too. Many thanks, we aren't a garage but sell car stuff, and just happen to have a couple of ramps/tools from the old company that was here. So we put it to good use when we can ! Well as it turns out, I got the red battery light on this morning, so have...

How to diagnose and replace a faulty over pressure relief valve on a 2006 2.2 i-CTDi

Not worried about tools ;) But I 100% need to take it off to get the Milwaukee M18 impact on it, the spanner wrench isn't going to work (I can see/feel it wont). Also as I mentioned, the new valve is longer than the gap, so I doubt it'll come out/go in. Happy to remove the pump but I fear...

How to diagnose and replace a faulty over pressure relief valve on a 2006 2.2 i-CTDi

My car is an Accord, you can see the steering pump is in the way, it's not exactly the same unfortunately or I would have done it.

How to diagnose and replace a faulty over pressure relief valve on a 2006 2.2 i-CTDi

I had a look at doing this yesterday as my PRV arrived. I don't have space to remove the old one, and ideally I want to get a socket/impact on the end of it as the old one looks like someone had a go already (and failed). I've circled the things I think I need to undo, and of course disconnect...

    Some strange issues!

Still another day without an issue, very odd ! (I'm almost thinking that it was a loose terminal connection) If there is a problem with the alternator, I'll just replace it as I need this car for some pretty hefty miles ! Hopefully I'll get time to prod around this week, I'll come back with...

Power Steering High Pressure Hose - Advise

Interestingly my one also has a little leak on the steering rack end. I was just going to whip it off, dry it and use a bit of Loctite Thread Sealant. BTW for anyone doing this, sure I was using a ramp but you don't need to touch the subframe. You can access the lower part of the line through...

    Some strange issues!

Yeah I've got my one in the boot now ! I followed this video: When the car was off, the reading was 13v, when I turned it on it dropped to 12.5v iirc, and then with full beam/heating/ it was around 12.3v. Strangely, yesterday and today zero problems ! accord_n22 Remember that I had driven in...
