Ok, thank you for reply. Ive since discovered that the air con does work but just makes a terrible sound when its on. Would it be possible to just replace the bearing without removing compressor?
I recently started hearing a horrible grinding sound from the engine bay which coincided with the AC not working. It looks like the compressor has packed up so after getting a quote from Honda of just over a £1000.00 (I know but Im an optimist) I thought id look in to replacing it with a 2nd...
Driving home from Bristol last night and the air con stopped working then about half hour later engine light came on and temp gauge at max. Found most of the coolant gone and from what I can tell its coming from water pump area. So I'm pre-empting the worst and asking if changing water pump is a...
Is it possible to replace the led indicator bulbs in the wing mirror? Mine have failed on the passenger side and I don't really want to replace the whole unit.
Not all Accords, mine is on 130k with the original clutch and apart from the very annoying clicking from the pedal its fine. Depends on how you and the previous owners drive it i guess.
Passenger side window has stopped working. I can hear a click when I try to open it but nowt happens. Can someone confirm thst it's the regulator that needs replacing please?
Also, is the regulator the motor?
It'll be a fine and trusty stead. If you listen to most people you'll find they want more power no matter what they drive. The 2.4 owners say its better then 2.0 but you'll find plenty of threads on here from them asking how they can make they're car quicker lol
This comes up a few times a year and every time they say get the 2.4. The 2.0 has 155bhp and is NOT under powered but you do need to rev it. The 2.4 is better for relaxed (lazy?) driving and would be better on long journeys.
My previous car was Primera P11 GT. In terms of power/speed the 2.0 Accord is pretty much the same, its a bit heavier but the bit of extra torque makes up for it. The handling is the big difference, the GT felt quite light and nimble whereas the Accord feels a bit dull by comparison. The...
Yes mines definitely hydraulic. Its a 2003 2.0 Sport. That's a long list to check but thanks for putting it up Freddo. I guess it's not the sort of thing Honda would check during a service or MOT.
