Drivers side heater blowing colder than Passenger side

Best thing is to always make sure A/C is OFF

.... just an idea, put it into DUAL mode then put passenger side to LO and driver's side to HI, but make sure that the heat is coming out somewhere, because the valve on the heater matrix will be open and it might not be a good idea to let the heatt behind the console to build for too long. You should at least find it blowing out of the centre, and hopefully more of it on the driver's side.

edit: check that the valve for the heater matrix is open (1st pic in #14) with ambient cold at this time of year it should only be shut with both target temperatures at LO. The point is that if it is open with driver's side on HI (which it should be) then if there is still no heat coming out on driver's side, the flap must definitely be jammed in "cold" position (or nearly in "cold" position).

edit2: I just tried my car in DUAL mode (A/C OFF) with passenger side LO and driver's side HI, everything splits down the middle even the centre console. So if you have both sides blowing cold with those settings then I reckon that the flap on the driver's side is jammed and/or detached from the motor mechanism.

Driving car tonight and had a strong smell of coolant through the heater vents on the passenger side , bottom of windowscreen on passenger side was misty and condensation , checked coolant level it was okay

Sorry to bump and old post but did you ever solve this? I'm having the exact same issue, and can hear the driver side blender motor moving when changing the drivers side temp with dual on, but it only seems to make a small difference. Passenger side works absolutely fine.

I don't think that member is active any longer, but you can check the flaps yourself they are on the central console on the drivers side behind the trim, I have seen a post before that showed the metal cable had jumped off a plastic peg that adjusted the flap.

hi, do you mean just above the sat nav screen behind those vents on the right side? (drivers side)
