Accord 2011 EX
Hi Guys, Im new to the forum, Ive inherited a 2011 Accord 2.2 I-Dtec from my father, the car has done 98K and has a shudder at between 30 - 35. If you accelerate through it, its fine no issues, the car drives well and cruises at 70 with no issues. I drove the car back to the UK from Portugal (1600 miles) at it was fine except for this shudder. Ive changed the oil, filters etc on the engine, no difference, ive changed the Gearbox oil and no difference, I thought that there maybe a gearbox filter (its auto), but can't find one, Youtube has lots of videos about changing the gearbox filter, but they all appear to be petrol cars and my gearbox is different. Any suggestions please? Thanks

worth adding that it only gets the shudder when the engine and gearbox are warm, its fine until the engine gets to Temp, which is why i thought it maybe filter, but i can't find a filter on the gearbox, so im about stumped TBH

What makes you think it’s the gearbox? Is it doing it in every gear? Is it RPM related or speed related?

TBH im guessing that its Gearbox related, Its only at between 30 - 35 MPH, if you accelerate through it its fine, its only when warm. Im guessing its gearbox becuase if you keep the revs higher to accelerate through it it doesn't do it, its only when in 3rd gear at 30 / 35, if you keep it in 2nd through 30 / 35 its fine and then 3rd above 35 still no shudder. Its had all new filters, engine oil etc. Changed the gearbox oil, so im kinda stumped. Im open to any suggestions,

Hi, I don`t know what area you are located, but you could give Tameside Transmission in Denton Manchester a ring, they are specialist in gearboxes and I can highly recommend them - they know what they are doing - they sorted my 05 2.4 auto exec Tourer out, got to be worth a phone call.
Good luck
