I've changed my gen7 2.4 17inch alloys to 16 inch alloys without any issues, it was for more comfort.

I don't think 6.5jj should be a problem really, its only a 10mm wider wheel so you're able to a slightly wider tyre on.

For example
6.0jj max tyre width is 205mm
6.5jj max tyre width is 215mm

Make sure the ET size is the same.

Most of the original Honda wheels are ET55. If the ET sizes are different it could put some extra strain on wheel bearings.

Hi, I have fitted Honda Civic Type R 18 inch wheels on my Accord gen. 7. 2.4 auto exec Tourer with 225 x 40 x 18 Uniroyal Rainsport 3s They suit the car perfect they are the 7 spoke type, I think they are termed FN2 - obviously I made enquiries from Honda and the tyre supplier and all said no problem, they originally had Bridgstone Potenza tyres on but I found them much too hard - so changed to the Uniroyal Much better - hope this info is useful to someone.
Cheers
