    Design fault?

Thanks for checking it out Grandad. I have a gap of 10mm or so on the right hand side. The left hand side needs to be higher to clear the wiper arm. Is your left hand one higher?

    Design fault?

I noticed that the bonnet is resting on the top of the nearside windscreen washer and rubbing a little. Can anyone else confirm that theirs is the same on the 8th gen accord tourer?

    Dead A/C compressor.

8th Gen Accord top front control arm replacement.

Sounds easy by those instructions, but is a bit of a ball ache job I found, those top bolts are awkward to access and remove/replace. Never knew about the 40mm stuff, probably knackered by now the new one I fitted, Doh!

    wheels

I've got 18" wheels on with a 45 profile and I'm thinking of going back to 17" due to the ride being a bit harsh and the roads are **** around here. Had an mot failure last time on a dented wheel rim, had to get it repaired at a cost of £50, didn't even recall hitting a hole that badly. Do not...

I use a car polisher with a sponge disc and some t-cut, give the headlights a polish about once a year, takes 5 minutes a side.

Bulb for the headlight washers switch.

If you find your model on here, you should find the info in the electrical equipment section, it will say "switch rh-for honda accord etc" https://www.parts-honda.uk/honda-cars/

    Auto Gearbox Shudder

Number 10 on the diagram here looks like a possible culprit for your filter, wouldn't suspect that though if your only having trouble with one gear: https://www.parts-honda.uk/honda-cars/ACCORD/2011/22-EX/TRANSMISSION/OIL-LEVEL-GAUGE-ATF-PIPE-DIESEL-/17TL1A01/ATM1700/2/3986

    Knocking noise front end.

Well not all garages are as thorough as others. My Daughter had a Vauxhall Astra a couple of years back, this was the advisory list from one garage: Mileage79,579 miles MOT test number4805 8804 5233 Test location View test location Expiry date13 May 2019 Advisory notice item(s) Offside...

    Knocking noise front end.

Mine was knocking last year, I couldn't find the problem but it failed the mot on a faulty upper front wishbone arm. I replaced it and it solved the problem.

    Tourer 2.2 Tailgate B********d

Don't bother with honda, as you fear they will rip you off. Get some struts off ebay and fit them if you can. I had a lot of trouble trying to fit some on an audi a3, such a tight fit, got there eventually. They don't last forever.

    Tourer 2.2 Tailgate B********d

Could just be the cold affecting the boot struts, reducing expansion and travel, try changing them first.

    Front Suspension bush - Inside

Pretty scary that. Made me take a look at my split pins today and they are fine but rusting. I might swap them over with stainless steel ones. You'd think they'd be stainless in the first place.

    Front Suspension bush - Inside

How on earth did that happen, someone been fiddling with nuts?

Can the alarm be disabled to save battery whilst not in use?

Pull the bonnet release lever or unplug the connector to the bonnet catch.
