What sort of mpg do you all get on your diesels?

I can get about 600 out of a tank if I am careful, but usually get around 550. If you do drive steady and do a lot of motorway miles then 600 should be achievable

    BlueTooth

Michael, mine did the same. The unit is located behind the front center heater vents. There is a description somwhere on here that tells you how to get to it. If you can gain access to the unit, try un plugging it and then pluccing it back in again. If it works and then pairs then that unit its...

What sort of mpg do you all get on your diesels?

You wont get 60 mpg. The fuel gague doesnt usually move for the first 100+ miles then goes down a bit quicker especially from half onwards. High 40's is probably more realistic

    key coding

It was a locksmith in nottingham called 3d locksmith. 3D Locksmiths I think they told me to speak to a guy on this mobile number 07989 408 281 (but this was a year ago), so if you use the contact us on their website then they will call you or you can call them on the 01159 952 2772 number...

    battery problem

Also after that week without using it did you do a long journey or short inbetween the next 4-5 day break? Short bursts wont really charge it, so if you keep doing short runs and low usage then the battery wont charge properly. But as the others said, check to see if there is something draining it

    key coding

Honda told me that they wouldnt just recode and replace a key then cut. They told me that I would need to buy a new key for nearly £300 to cut and code it! I did find a place which did Honda keys (genuine) and he also said that he couldnt recode old keys but could supply and cut a new one for...

My diesel sounds like a diesel!

Wouldnt neccessarly say they are failing Trev, that is the switchover point when they stop pre-injecting. The other thing is that over time injectors can start to wear/get bolocked or clogged up. Are you running it on VPD? also have you tried putting some BG244 in the fuel. If you look on the...

Jolts when I switch the engine off

Something like anti-roll bar rubbers parished maybe? does this happen when you reverse stop and turn it off as well? Just wondering if when you pull forward and stop it raises the rear end slightly and then settels. I had this issue on my prelude and it was anti roll bar linkages which had failed.

My diesel sounds like a diesel!

Also around this rev range (approx 1.5k) is when the pre-injecting stops which is used and developed by Honda to reduce the diesel clatter which you hear on a lot of diesels at low revs

100k Service.... What to watch out for

If it still goes into gear easy enough and doesnt crunch then clutch fluid is probably OK. Dont think its that hard to do though as if you are doing the brakes, then you will already have the fluid. Also if you have ever had an exhaust manifold replaced then the coolant should have been...

My diesel sounds like a diesel!

This is definitely the right part number 15430RBDE02.... or at least that one fitted my facelift as I just checked. Wrong oil = noisy engine ;)

My diesel sounds like a diesel!

Just take the filter cover off tonight if you can and see if the filter length is the same as what is already in. There is no harm in just taking it out to look and then putting it back in. That way if it is the wrong one then you can get it replaced.

My diesel sounds like a diesel!

Hi Trev, I was told by HH that timing chains werent covered on the facelift as a fix had been put in place on the engine and I have no reason to believe they were lying. In regards to oil and filter change, I did mine and it was very easy. Ordered filter from HH and gave them my reg and told...
