    Shell Fuelsave

Dan, your V-Power was in the Summer and Fuelsave in the winter, so I would expect some drop in economy anyway. Also Excellium seems best ;) Ho hum, I am sticking to V-power whatever as it feels more responsive and has better cleaning properties. Also by your table Dan its about the same average...

    Thermostat.

This is one of the most common questions I see. Having been very involved in motorsport I asked the same question when I got mine as under temp could be a big issue. WTF made Honda decide that around 2/5ths was full temp, god only knows, but it sure confuses a lot of people, but 2/5ths is right...

    Driver Side Window Switch

Is his number on here? If he doesnt reply it maybe worth giving Holdcroft Honda in Stoke a call tomorrow. They are a great bunch and if you tell them you are from TypeAccord and ask for the service manager Steve, I suspect that he could tell you if it is possible one way or another.

    Driver Side Window Switch

I have a feeling that the programming bit that Brett is talking about that he remembers on another thread in the past may have been on a 6th gen, but may be (hopefully) wrong. As Brett mentioned though, beefy is your man, he works at Holdcroft Honda

    Shell Fuelsave

Were these readings taken from the highly inacurate trip computer? If so, then I would suggest doing these properly with a Tank fill. 752 out of a tank sounds very ambitious to me, as doe 58mpg. I have had my computer telling me 61 mpg once and as I fill the tank and note the miles and litres...

    Problem with emission control system

Also John, if you start your car for 30 seconds and turn it off again repeating this process 3 times, if the same fault doesn't occur the light goes out, so that is why your light has gone off and you can use this process if you want the light to go off sooner rather than driving around with it...

Will i need a new clutch?

Honda only if you want it done proper as you need a special tool and the sub frame has to come off

    Clutch Worn Out?

If it was wheelspin Craig, I suspect that the traction control light would have flashed up. My suggestion is if its not slipping now, I would leave it till it comes back. If it does come back though, dont leave it slipping for too long as it may cause further damage, but if its not slipping now...

I-CDTI Engine cuts out when accelareting

Hi Carl, thats right about running it 1.5k revs after. Mine is not rock hard after running it, just when you pump it a few times to pressure up after bleeding/replacing the filter.

    jerking

Well, it I suppose next time either I am in your area or you are in mine Fahad we will have to get in touch and put it back to stock (Not looking forward to the power loss :o ) Once its back to stock, I might give it one more go at HH and see if they can check that all the latest updates have...

    jerking

Yep, tell me about it. Its getting to the stage where it may just have to go. It shows no faults and I have replaced all the obvious parts. Might as well be driving my old 2.2 prelude at this rate. I could get 28-30mpg out of that and the fuel was about 10p a litre cheaper!

    jerking

Cheers Dave, Havent managed more than 37mpg in the last 5 tanks which is pretty poor for the saloon I would say, esp as my 20+ mile trip to work each day is mainly motorway.

    jerking

Hi guys the donor car had done 54k, so a bit less than mine. Jerking is like brett's and mine does the same when you press the accelerator harder it clears. Yes I reset the ECU, once I reset the ECU it seems fine for about 60-100 miles but then comes back. Some days it seems worse than others...

    jerking

Got a Map sensor from a scrappers, as I think you mentioned in an earlier post Carl, it seems as though there is a bit of a wait for the new ones. Well I have installed it and the Jerking is still there. Could be that the Map sensor I got was shot as well, but probably unlikely. Also my car...

    jerking

Think you maybe wrong Brett, but worth a try like you said. I find that when I reset the ECU (either fuse out or battery disconnected) the jerking disappears for the first 60-100 miles then starts to come back progressively getting worse and then stays about the same from around 500 miles. I...
