I think its there most the time still, but just not as bad. I am pretty sure it isnt smoking as bad, but will give it a week or two and hopefully have the filter by then. I also reset the ECU, but if the manifold is cracked then it wont be helping anything. Will keep you posted.

Guys I am getting a bad feeling that my manifold may have started to crack. Fitted the new frequency solenoid valve about 20 mins ago and had disconnected the ecu fuse then reconnected it like someone suggested. Then ran the car on tickover for about 5 mins and it smelt pretty bad in the cabin...

Yeah Carl. You cant get rid of Faddys map that easily ;) Just resets what it has learnt and goes back to default settings. i.e when faddy first put the map on.

Not sure, but I suspect 10-15 mins should do it. Ed mentioned it to me, so I cant take the credit, but it sounds plausible and worth ago. I will probably disconnect mine overnight.

Carl, have you disconnected the battery at any time to reset the ECU? dont know if it will help, but the ECU learns and if there has been issues then it might have learnt some bad habits. Just a thought. ;)
