A-spec springs on Standard shock absorber

its all very interesting this. but in answer to woodman, i think your wasting your time fitting one setup at the front and annother the rear. please dont bother! fit one set up or the other else the car will not drive progessively. honda has spent many millions and hours of testing developing...

New clutch but difficult gear change and fywheel fears

did you get a warranty with this bloke lol. the clutch is the cause of clutch slip in 99.9% of cases and not the flywheel. the flywheel may well cause what feels like a missfire if faulty but realy should be changed if it has too much or little play. so long as the clutch is removed carefully...

    Light Tapping Sound

hond's stance : 10) Fault Increased combustion noise which can be heard at light load around 2000 rpm. (Diesel models only) Fix This is due to the changing fuel injection parameters at this speed. The fuel system uses "pilot injection" as a means of softening diesel knock...

    A worrying discovery

i wasnt sure whether the later accords were different to earlyer models off the top of my head. the problem lies with the fact there is two filter sizes for the ictdi. namely the larger one is fitted to the accord. the smaller is fitted to the civic and i-dtec. the top of the filter should sit...

    A worrying discovery

there are two sizes of oil filter on the i-ctdi. the wrong filter may have been fitted previously as the smaller filter will fit the longer filters housing. later i-ctdi's had the shorter filters fitted (facelift). the i-dtec has the same filter as the later ictdi engines. there is no way an...

    Alternator

i wouldnt take the risk if your paying good money for either. its up to you if you want to try a crv alternator if you can get one cheep enough. the next cheepest option is to fit a breaker donor alterator form an accord or replace the front bearing on the alternator you have. replacing the...

    Squeaky clutch pedal....with a difference

greasing the master cylinder may stop the squeek for a month or a week but to cure the problem a new master cylinder is required i am affraid. the best stuff to use in the meantime though is molycote spray lubricant. it is what honda reccomended for civics when we had problems with there clutch...

Judder/vibration thoughout the car possible dua lmass flywheel problem?

this could well be your driveshafts as it is not uncommon on diesel accords. there is a possibility of a DMF problem but you should get the same vibration at idle with an imballanced flywheel and poss running problems. difficult to say realy without driving the car.
