    Oil pressure problem

i would suggest if you have little or no oil preasure, your oil pump chain has snapped. i have seen this on 3 ictdi engines so far, the timing chain never seams to snap but the oil pump chain is the first to go and the abnormal noise may be part of the chain picking up now and again or rubbing...

    OE HID Headlight Aim

it is correct that hids are adjusted using a leveling sensor on the subframe. i would suggest you have it checked out. you need to remove the supporting nut and move the lever by hand whilst checking the voltage change at the headlight adjuster controll unit. a garage with access to maris should...

    Clicking noise on start up

it all depends what the clicking you describe sounds like. could well be the starter motor but generaly the car wouldnt start if you are getting a click from the motor, its due to there being too little voltage to the holding and pulling coils inside the electromagnet of the motor. would need to...

    Lower Front suspension bush

the bush needs to be supporting the suspention arm. in your picture the bush has not yet split, its just a little perrished. they will fail mot if the rubber bush has separated from the metal outer casing of the bush. the arm will allso touch the subframe with the car raised.

    Clutch replacement

dmf's in themselves wont cause clutch slip. a sysmptom of a failing or failed dmf is vibration or missfires from the engine.

    Clutch replacement

if a flywheel needs replacing it doesnt matter if ts at HH or your local dealer. you wont get fleesed at HH but you will equaly be told if the fllywheel is out of spec. we replaced a dmf on a civic today as it had lost its grease and had excessive latteral play. its just the way cars are going...

    fuel filter 2.4

its a bit fiddly to do so i would suggest only a confident diy mechanic tackles one of these filters. its all to easy to miss somthing and you could easily end up with running problems. its accesable in the boot.

    P1031 Fault Code

the fuel heater circuit connector is one of the connectors you have to disconnect to remove the fuel filter. it is possible that if the ignition was turned on while the connector was disconnected it will have stored that dtc. when re-connected the dtc will still be there untill it is cleared and...

    Front foglight problem

main place to look is the relay under the drivers side of the front bumper. it tends to get soaked and corrode. other than that i have recently experianced a problem where the underbonnet fuse box had an internal poor connection and caused the foglights to not work at all. its one of those jobs...

major rear brake issue - 2007 Tourer

main problem's that i see......especialy with windback calipers, is the piston seals twisting and allowing water into the piston and locks it up. what you need to do is spray some wd40 over the piston seals to allow the piston to spin inside the seal rather than twist out of shape. next is...

    AC problem

if the clutch ran constantly there would be a small explosion as the preasure gets too high. the click you can hear and possible slight hesitation from the engine is the compressor clutch engaging. the slight change in revs/hesitation is due to the extra load on the engine when the clutch...

major rear brake issue - 2007 Tourer

to my knowledge there was a problem with the rear calipers on 03 - 06 accords where The brake caliper could not return to the normal position because of a missing actuator component in the parking brake mechanism. it just makes me wonder with calipers from motor factors whether some end up being...

Foot down but no response for 10 secs every gear shift

that fault may allso have been left in the memory as a temp dtc when the filter was last changed. it generaly takes a few more cranks than normal when first starting and the preasure is low untill all the air is purged. depends whether it was primed enough after being changed. i would only be...

i have not seen it so much with the accord but ***uming the engine is the same, there have been a few crv's with streched chains just lately. i would not say it is suspect but equaly it is not common. that engine should run forever with a new chain at 75k lol.
