    Petrol in my diesel Accord

the main thing is, the cost of wasting the petrol and having the tank drained as well as the recovery and labour is a lot less than a set of new injectors and fuel pump. i recently replaced the injectors, fuel pump and fuel filter inc its casing on a brand new crv. the owner drove the vehicle...

    Petrol in my diesel Accord

i would suggest changing the fuel filter with it having petrol through it. your lucky no damage has been done so far but you need to realize that petrol does not lubricate in the same way as diesel does. the injectors and high preasure fuel pump rely on the ammount of oil in diesel fuel to keep...

    I-DTEC Diesel fuel filter

main thing you need is the filter cup tool. you WONT undo it without one!. and there is no real need in removing the strut brace, just move the fuse box out of the way and you can get at it easy enough. a lot easyer than previous accords thats for sure!

    8th Gen Service Reminder Codes

the problem with the svrs system is with automatic accords ONLY as it regards the changing of the automatic transmition fluid. the svrs system has its own ecu of sorts in the guage cluster and due to an error, when automatic accords are due a fluid change at 75,000miles it dies a horrible death...

    Pinking

the reason the ictdi is quieter than the 1.9 passat is its unique pilot injection. This is due to the changing fuel injection parameters at this speed. The fuel system uses "pilot injection" as a means of softening diesel knock noise. The pilot injection is a small injection before the main...

    Heated seats.

only thing i can suggest is check for voltage to the seat heaters when switched on at the switch to eliminate the switch and then check the resistance of the heater elements themselves. i have no idea what the resistance value is without checking. main thing you need is a multimetre.

    Wobble through steering wheel

its not a warranty item if thats what you mean. its wear and tear due to high mileage. its what honda call a ''hint and tip'' rather than a technical bulliten which aids diagnosis for there technitions. honda suggest swapping known good shafts as a first step to establish which are at fault and...

    Wobble through steering wheel

there is a honda bulliten regarding driveshaft wear and its only on high mileage diesels which yours is. i would say if it is just on acceleration and the tracking/wheel ballance is ok the next step is new driveshafts.

Air Con Compressor just gone pop

the ammount daves a/c was over gassed even after it vented into the engine bay was quite large!.........equivelent of putting 50psi in your tyres when there supposed to be 30. just shows how important it is to do an a/c service propperly.

Air Con Compressor just gone pop

you are too kind CJ......its the time of year that frost is setting in and any moisture in an a/c system is a killer. most people only bother with an a/c service in the summer when they find its not working. idealy i would service the a/c every year but every 2 is quite resonable...
