Need a new turbo....any advice or recommendations?

Well I never drove it particularly hard, or on very rare occasions at least so I doubt I'd have gone much over 2.5k revs on most journeys. I know it should get proper time to warm and cool but I don't think any turbo has ever gone in 40k? I was on the phone to a local Honda dealer this evening...

Need a new turbo....any advice or recommendations?

Hey lads...Looking like bad luck has hit me big time, had a few problems with the car last night, got it into the Honda dealer today for a diagnostic session and it turns out I need a new turbo! :( The previous owner had it replaced with a new unit in July 2010 at 90k miles (I have the...

2.2 Diesel i-CTDi FMIC Intercooler kit

At a quick glance I'd say no. Generally if something is made for another model it won't fit an Accord, with the exception of wheels and a couple of other bits! You wouldn't buy Civic springs for an Accord so I'd rather not chance it.

    Buying service kit

Agreed. Ask for Lee in parts, without doubt the best deal I've got on service bits in the last few years!

Car wouldn't go in to gear...any ideas on a problem/solution?

Well I checked the fluid level yesterday and there is no problem there! The funny thing is, I've put up 170 odd miles since and there's no problem at all?! Not that I'm complaining!! I just find it strange..

Car wouldn't go in to gear...any ideas on a problem/solution?

Perfect! I'll check it out tomorrow and see what the levels are at! Would it be advisable to take the cap off the filler and press the clutch a few times? Or will that make any difference?

Car wouldn't go in to gear...any ideas on a problem/solution?

Collapsing is usually serious  Would this be a big problem? Or would it allow the car to move at all if it has collapsed?

Car wouldn't go in to gear...any ideas on a problem/solution?

Hey guys, Parked up the car today to run into a shop, came back out, stuck it into first and drove off. As I lifted my foot off the clutch it felt quiet light and free, as soon as I pressed it to slip into second there was some sort of click in the pedal and the car wouldn't go into gear...

Best springs for 19 inch amgs

I priced all those myself when I was doing my own, but in all honesty the Eibach springs and standard shocks give the best compromise of ride quality, looks and performance without being too harsh. The Accord is a very comfortable car, one of the best when it comes to engine refinement and...

    Eibach 30mm lowering spring

    Wise decision, enjoy them! :)

Best springs for 19 inch amgs

As far as I know the Eibach 55mm springs will give you that much of a drop! I've got 35 mm springs and I can just fit my finger between the tyre and arch. Seen a couple of Accords here in Ireland and I know they're not on coilovers but still look that low! Coilovers are far too expensive for a...

    Eibach 30mm lowering spring

I can tell you now that it wont :) I love them, they make the car feel much more solid on the road with less side to side movement when overtaking. Should be even better for you up there in the north than it is for me in the south with our "great" roads :P

    Eibach 30mm lowering spring

I got the same Eibach kit fitted a few weeks ago and to be honest there's hardly any difference in ride quality. If there is any difference it is very slight and I'm running them on standard springs with 18 inch wheels! Like has been said before, I'd also be inclined to think they will shorten...

    Not very impressed!

Ouch, that sounds awful! Sounds to me like you just got a bad one, that probably wasn't cared for as well as it should have been earlier in it's day! To a certain extent I feel your pain, my pre-facelift saloon has that same "bag of spanners" sound. I find its more obvious when the car is...

    Misty Headlights

Well after changing my passenger side dipped beam bulb last spring I noticed the same moisture for a week or two. It has disappeared for the summer, I'm just afraid it will come back again when the weather gets cold over the winter!

Where can I get DC HID kits, as opposed to AC?

Oh so it was the older AC units that were a big no no? I remember glancing at the thread mentioned above and thought for some reason that all AC units were rubbish! Anyway thanks for the info! :)

Where can I get DC HID kits, as opposed to AC?

Hey guys, not a question to do with any particular generation of the Accord, but I was wondering if any of you have bought HID kits lately? I've gone through a few on Ebay and they all appear to be AC ballasts. Now maybe I'm wrong but I thought the conclusion on AC ballasts was bad? I'm looking...

    Misty Headlights

So would I be right in thinking the problem isn't having moisture constantly make its way in, but get in and not be able to escape?

    Twin exhausts

Well I've been told its €60 to get a de-cat so its not bad really if it does what I'm after. I'm just afraid of it giving me grief down the road if this idea of the turbo is true! I've seen (or heard ;) ) a couple of cars around here that have had a de-cat, mainly VW and Audi's. Never seen an...

    Twin exhausts

I've always wanted a straight through exhaust but I remember reading a post here that warned against it because it puts extra strain on the turbo, in turn causing it to wear and eventually die quicker. Any truth in this? Would be pretty cool to have a straight through with my twin tail pipes...
