thanks for the input guys. the trailer itself is fine for this, its a brian james clubman A series, twin axle and 4 wheel braked and has done many miles with my race car on the back. i think its the towcar and towbar thats the limiting issue here. lots of food for thought in this thread, cheers :)

52.8mpg. worked out by miles driven since i filled the tank and the litres i poured in to fill it lastnight. quite good :)

ive just done 615 miles in mine until the warning light came on. i fill the tank to the top, so ill work out my MPG tomorrow. the aircon was on for quite a few miles, maybe 200 and i wasnt being particularly economical with my right foot.

my celica does it :) however thats a race car so it doesnt really count...
