    Steel Wheel Help

Help! I have just put a set of steel wheels on my Accord (have bought a set to put winter tyres on, but thought I may as well use the tyres up 1st and save my alloys!), and the appear to be rubbing against the caliper?! It's a Sport GT and the steel wheels are from a new shape Civic- are they a...

    I hate shopping for tyres!

Not on your list, but I ended up going for the Cotintental SportContact 3 tyres. £110 a corner. So far so good, obviously no idea on how long they'll lasy- but they are noticebly quieter, and certainly seem to grip well.

    I hate shopping for tyres!

This is the problem with tyres, everyone has their own experiences. I had some Michelin Energy tyres from costco once and they lasted me 9 months! I only drive 14 miles to work and back! In fairness, this was on my Vectra not accord.

    I hate shopping for tyres!

    I hate shopping for tyres!

I wish, I need them for 225/45/17 which makes them much more. Black circles is where I normally look first, but my local tyre place will always match them. Mind you, they also match Camskill which is quite handy- although in this case black circles is cheaper by the time they are fitted. Have...

    I hate shopping for tyres!

Right, it's that time again! I am looking around for tyres, and have narrowed my choice down to these 2: Uniroyal Rainsport 2 Contintal Sport Contact 2 So far they are both around £110 a corner (ouch!). The Contintal seem to be a more premum brand, but the Civic boys and girls seem to highly...

    Heating

Acts similar to an air source pump http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air-source_heat_pump#How_air_source_heat_pumps_work from what I can tell, it is only used to heat the cabin up- not the car. It's not brilliant, but every little helps when it's -5 on a Monday morning! J

    Which Generation

Thanks for that, If I do end up scrapping I will be more then happy to help you out. Would be a shame though, as it has been such a great car. Hand on heart all it has needed since we have owned it (17 years or so) is the usual battery, tyres etc and a radiator. Doesn't get better then that! Jakey

    Which Generation

Cheers for the advice fella, undecided what to do with it at the mo. May shove on ebay with low reserve and if it doesn't sell tune it. On the other hand, not really sure it's worth tuning an auto!!! TBH, I guessed that being an auto it would be worth less. Thanks again, J

    Which Generation

THANKS VERY MUCH. Though it would be scrap value. Yes is ours, has been owned by my Gran for years (automatic, comfortable and just won't die!). She gave it to us as got a Corsa on disability scheme. Will have a read through the links, may well shove on ebay. TBH, I'm amazed how well it goes...

    Which Generation

Bit of a random one, but we have one of these sitting on out driveway. Can anyone tell me which generation it is? I think its 2nd As it isn't really worth a lot, is it easy to supercharge and have as a trackday car? I got the impression the yanks do this a lot? Shame really, as it's...

Bio Fuel in Yer Actual Diesel

If all of the methanol is not removed, it can damage seals and injectors. This makes the difference between a good processor and a bad processor. A good processor distils all of the methanol out. If you get all the methanol out it also helps remove soaps, as soaps cannot stay suspended in bio...

Bio Fuel in Yer Actual Diesel

F6HAD, here is a link to the chap that is using it http://www.civinfo.com/forum/engines-transmission/22949-rolling-road-100-biodiesel-results.html he doesn't state how many miles he used it for on that particular post though. Biodiesel has been said to be better for an engine the regular dino...

Bio Fuel in Yer Actual Diesel

What makes you think you need to run it for a year? I make mine for around 12ppl when I get free oil. I agree there are not facts, but most manufactures are scared to warrent it due to the varying levels of quality of home made bio. There are lots of peaople who don't know what they are doing...

Bio Fuel in Yer Actual Diesel

You will find a lot of arguments on the net about biodiesel. A lot of which is rubbish. WELL MADE biodiesel, fully converted with all soap removes will be fine on ANY diesel engine without a DPF (DPF is a no go due to the higher flash point of bio). I have been making biodiesel for 3 years now...

    Nokia N97 and HFT

I have been having a few problems with the Nokia N97 since I bought the car. The phone will pair and everything, but error when I try to make a call! I went to France over xmas, and though I would try it again while driving down- it worked! I decided to do some investigating, why would it...
